Our team recently completed the safe removal of an asbestos garage in Ashton-under-Lyne. The project involved dismantling and disposing of an asbestos cement garage roof together with the concrete sectional panel structure, leaving the site ready for the client’s future plans.
As with every asbestos removal project, our priority was to minimise the risk of fibre release. Constant dust suppression was used throughout the dismantling process, and each asbestos cement roof sheet was carefully removed with minimal disturbance. The sheets were then individually wrapped in heavy-duty 1000-gauge Visqueen before being securely loaded for transportation and disposal at a licensed hazardous waste facility in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
The concrete sectional garage was dismantled in a controlled manner following the roof removal, allowing all waste materials to be separated and managed safely. On completion, the client received a Hazardous Waste Consignment Note confirming the lawful disposal of the asbestos waste.
